1908-1912 VAN BRIGGLE 8" Vase - #772 - DIRTY BOTTOM - OUTSTANDING GLAZE

Description

Here is a rare and wonderful dirty bottom Van Briggle vase, 8” tall and made circa 1908-1912. The somewhat extreme example of a dirty bottom reveals absolutely nothing - a collector’s guide reference photo of the vase and dating info is included with the pictures. The colors and texture of the glaze are luscious – the green glaze is dusted throughout with gold, copper and shades of brown. The 4 equally spaced  flowers at the rim are supported by 4 stems that run the length of the vase top to bottom – simple, delicate, crisp and the delicious mottled glaze with the best possible colors is true eye-candy  - a handsome and elegant Arts & Crafts vase from the early years of VB. One of the pictures shows 2 small areas along the bottom edge of the vase which I believe are  glaze skips but they may be tiny flakes - irrelevant in either case.
