You are bidding on an outstanding Van Briggle Art Pottery vase - shape number 841 with spiderwort trifoliate flowers and dating from the 1922-1926 era:
This stands over 6" in height and very heavy clay done in mulberry glaze with deep blue overspray
, marked with the Van Briggle logo on the base of the piece - and marked U.S.A. - very typical 22-26 era signature.  The glaze is fantastic and smooth.  The design is outstanding and very strong - this is a fabulous example.
Condition notes: Condition is excellent.  It has no chips, no cracks, no repairs and no crazing.  There is a factory original glaze skip where the glaze is thin on one of the leaves.  This is a nice example of an early Van Briggle rarely seen design - has looked lovely on my shelf for over 40 years.  The piece is unusual and pretty rare, be great to pair with one you already have!  The coloring on the base is truly mesmerizing in the depth and smoothness.
