VAN BRIGGLE POTTERY DOUBLE HANDLED VASE SHAPE NUMBER 522

Description

This beautiful early Van Briggle Pottery vase stands 3.5" tall by 5" wide. Double handled, on a shouldered shape, there are eight panels with a repeating floral decoration. Glazed in a mottled matte green color, the flowers and high points have a reddish-brown color peeking thru. Marked on the base with the conjoined AA's, while the remainder of the marks are partially obscured by the heavy glaze. This same shape can be seen on page 58 in Van Briggle Pottery The Early Years. In factory original condition, there are no cracks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. A very nice Arts and Crafts Colorado Springs pottery example to add to your collection.
